This novel started out so great – a missing child, the lone survivor of a house bombing,  whom no one is searching for except  our protagonist, Sarah Tucker, a married but childless young woman with a problematical past.  Sarah asks the help of a detective friend but then he … well … no spoilers here.

Unfortunately,  the story ends up with spies and counter spies and was really way to knotty for me.  I liked the premise – there was no need to gum it up.
