Number 6 in the Dismas Hardy series and Colacci does a fine job reading.  Hardy’s wife,  Frannie is very late picking up their children from school – turns out she’s in jail – for contempt of court.   Her friend Ron has told her a secret but now Ron’s wife is dead and the secret could be evidence.  But Frannie refuses to tell.

So Ron is suspected of murdering his wife, Bree,  and the plot gets twisted when it turns out she was employed first by an oil company but when she became active in anti-oil practices,  went to work for a politician.   And then two policemen are killed.

Hardy’s friend Abe Glitsky is still involved – but not included in the secret.  He’s none too happy about this.
